Faithful Women Serving in the Great Commission
Priscilla is mentioned six times in the New Testament as a vibrant Christian leader and missionary. Alongside her husband, Aquila, she opened her home for church gatherings. The apostle Paul commended them as faithful co-workers in ministry. Together, they used their business, gifts, and resources to support Paul as he trained, encouraged, and made disciples in the early years of the church. Today, thousands of Global South women serve in significant leadership roles, helping build the church among the world’s remaining unreached peoples.
At DM4N, we have the privilege of encouraging and supporting many remarkable Global South missionaries—both women and men—who evangelize, train adults, children, and youth, and help them become obedient followers of Jesus. Whether leading a training seminar, modeling a house church gathering for unbelievers reading the Bible for the first time, or teaching children Bible stories at a soccer camp, they reveal God’s heart for the lost in some of the most difficult circumstances.

- “I led a leadership training seminar with 30 participants, and five experienced reconciliation and forgiveness with family and friends.”
- “I reached out to children in the community, encouraged them to participate in ministry activities, and identified those needing spiritual and emotional support. I used interactive learning activities to help them understand the gospel in a simple, meaningful way.”
- “We had a wonderful training with the ladies, teaching them how to share the gospel and their testimonies with their Muslim friends. We enjoyed worshiping freely and learning new Bible stories. Please pray for several of these women who are being pressured by friends to deny Jesus as Lord and stop coming to the fellowship.”
- “I am translating a training course from English into our language so more people can be equipped to share the gospel in our community. We are prayerfully planning the next training in April with 40 trainees. Please pray that God will prepare the right people and use this training to bring many to Christ.”
- “My focus is to use my background as an economist to help local people build sustainable small businesses that bring community transformation. Our business seminars have borne much fruit! We are seeing God open doors, giving us many opportunities to make connections and share the gospel.”
These women are only a few examples of the many Global South gospel messengers who have answered the call to make disciples of all peoples. Married or single, they serve the Lord of the harvest with the tools God has placed in their hands. They share the love of Jesus with those who have never heard of Him and demonstrate that love in practical ways, just as Priscilla did in the first century.
