Amani’s Story: Serving Among the Unreached
God has placed a deep burden on our hearts to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to people and communities who have not yet had a meaningful opportunity to hear and understand the Good News. Our ministry is based in a remote area of Tanzania, where God has opened doors for us to serve several unreached communities. Reaching these communities is often difficult because of long travel distances, poor roads, and challenging living conditions.
Reaching Muslim Communities with Humility and Respect
We believe every person, regardless of religious background, deserves the opportunity to hear about Jesus and experience His love. We seek to share that love through both our words and our actions. As the Lord opens doors, we visit Muslim communities, build relationships with families, and humbly share the gospel with respect and care. Whenever possible, we also serve in practical ways through our health care ministry. We go into homes, build trust, share the Word of God, and pray with those who are willing to listen.
At times, the journey itself is difficult. Roads to these villages are often poor, especially in harsh weather. Reaching many of these places requires commitment, patience, and sacrifice. Still, we continue to go because we believe no distance is too great when people still need to hear the Gospel.
Hope and New Life for Our People
We have developed a deep appreciation for our fellow countrymen, whose rich cultures, traditions, and strong commitment to family and community are qualities we greatly value. People in these rural villages face many daily challenges. Poor roads, limited access to quality health care, and few educational or employment opportunities make life difficult. Families work extremely hard simply to meet their basic needs. Yet even amid these hardships, we have seen the gospel bring hope, forgiveness, and the promise of new life through God’s unwavering love.
The Cost of Following Jesus
For some, choosing to follow Jesus is difficult and costly. A new believer may face misunderstanding with family, friends, or the wider community. Some experience rejection, isolation, or pressure to return to former beliefs. For this reason, evangelism must be joined with discipleship. It is not enough for someone to hear the Gospel and choose to follow Jesus; they also need encouragement, teaching, prayer, and fellowship so they can grow strong in their faith. Our desire is for people not only to come to Christ, but also to deepen their relationship with Him and eventually become leaders who disciple others. This year, the Lord has given our team the opportunity to visit hundreds of homes, lead dozens of people to Christ, baptize many, and establish home fellowships.
Our Vision and Dream
- Every people group hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a respectful, loving way.
- Hundreds of new believers becoming obedient disciples of Jesus.
- Local leaders being trained to teach and disciple others.
- Fellowships being established in unreached communities.
- Previously unreached people groups experiencing the blessings of new life in Christ.
- Disciples making disciples, leaders raising leaders, and house churches multiplying.
Jesus commanded His followers to go and make disciples of all nations, and that calling continues to lead us forward. The roads may be difficult, the communities far away, and the work costly. Some may face hardships after choosing to follow Jesus. Even so, we have seen the power of the gospel transform lives and communities. Therefore, we will not rest or remain silent; we will continue to go, pray, and make disciples.
