The Miracle Maker Working in Japan

We are currently serving in a small local church in Japan. The Japanese church is characterized by slow growth, few believers and almost no new believers annually. A few months ago, we started a prayer group with church members meeting every Thursday to pray, share experiences and learn how to hear the voice of the Lord. During this time, Marcelino shared a testimony of healing that he experienced in Chile concerning a woman who had a tumor in her uterus. He simply told her to pray in faith for healing in the name of Jesus. When she got home, she did just that, and the tumor left her body, leaving her completely healed.

This testimony deeply impacted Sukura who was present at the prayer meeting. The following Sunday, during the general meeting, Sukura arrived very anxious and looked for Marcelino to tell him she had spoken with a friend whose mother was seriously ill and hospitalized. The doctors had informed her friend that her mother’s liver was no longer functioning and that she would not survive the weekend. They even recommended that the family begin preparing for the funeral. Faced with this situation, Sukura remembered the testimony that Marcelino had shared in the previous meeting. Marcelino confirmed that God could heal her friend’s mother if she believed that God could work miracles in Japan just as he did in Chile. Together they called on the phone and prayed for her friend’s mother. Days later, Sukura received a call from her friend and was amazed to hear that this woman was making a miraculous recovery. Now she was eating again, her liver had begun to function normally, and she could sit up in bed! This was incredibly surprising to the entire church, as they were able to experience the power of God working miraculously through prayer. Everyone was very encouraged, especially Sukura, who experienced firsthand that God can do wonderful things among the Japanese!
